This course is ideal for medical practitioners, dermal therapists, beauty therapists, and those entering the skin industry who want a strong foundation in chemical peels combined with real-world, hands-on experience.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of skin physiology, common skin conditions, and the science behind chemical peeling, allowing you to safely and effectively select and perform peels tailored to different skin types and concerns. Our approach bridges theory with practice, ensuring you leave feeling confident, competent, and treatment-ready.

A key focus of this course is individualised treatment planning. Not every peel—or intensity—is suitable for every client. Throughout the training, you will learn how to perform accurate skin assessments, identify contraindications, and customise peel protocols to achieve optimal results while maintaining skin integrity and safety.

Important Recommendation

If you are not a dermal clinician, we highly recommend completing our Skin Science Course prior to, or alongside, this training. A strong understanding of skin anatomy and physiology is essential to delivering safe, effective chemical peel treatments and achieving consistent client outcomes.

By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge, practical skills, and clinical confidence to incorporate chemical peels into your treatment offerings and deliver personalised, results-driven skin solutions.

Day 1: Theory & Skin Science Foundations

Introduction to skin anatomy and physiology
Core principles of skin biology and skin science
Common skin diseases, disorders, and conditions such as acne, pigmentation, dermatitis, psoriasis, scarring and more
Key active ingredients used in chemical peels
Overview of chemical peel types and treatment indications
Consultation process, skin analysis, and diagnosis
Identifying appropriate treatment plans
Precautions, contraindications, and client safety
Understanding professional peel brands
Differences between cosmetic-grade and medical-grade peels

Day 2: Practical Training & Clinical Application

Live demonstration of chemical peel treatments
Patch testing procedures and interpretation
Designing and performing a chemical peel treatment
Adjusting treatment parameters based on patch test results
Safe application techniques and timing
Neutralisation, post-treatment care, and aftercare guidance
Supervised hands-on practical training
