This course is ideal for dermal therapists, beauty therapists, nurses and those entering the skin industry who want a strong foundation in skin needling combined with real-world, hands-on clinical experience.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of skin physiology, wound healing, collagen induction, and common skin conditions, allowing you to safely and effectively perform skin needling treatments tailored to different skin types and concerns. Our approach bridges theory with practice, ensuring you leave feeling confident, competent, and treatment-ready.

A key focus of this course is individualised treatment planning. Not every depth, technique, or treatment frequency is suitable for every client. Throughout the training, you will learn how to perform accurate skin assessments, identify contraindications, and customise skin needling protocols to achieve optimal results while maintaining skin integrity and safety.

Important Recommendation

If you are not a dermal clinician, we highly recommend completing our Skin Science Course prior to, or alongside, this training. A strong understanding of skin anatomy and physiology is essential to delivering safe, effective skin needling treatments and achieving consistent client outcomes.

By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge, practical skills, and clinical confidence to incorporate skin needling into your treatment offerings and deliver personalised, results-driven skin solutions.

Day 1: Theory & Skin Science Foundations

Introduction to skin anatomy and physiology
Core principles of skin biology and skin science
Wound healing, collagen induction, and tissue regeneration
Common skin diseases, disorders, and conditions such as acne, pigmentation, dermatitis, psoriasis, scarring, and ageing
Understanding skin needling technology and device types
Depth selection, needle configurations, and treatment parameters
Consultation process, skin analysis, and diagnosis
Identifying appropriate treatment plans
Precautions, contraindications, and client safety
Understanding professional skin needling devices and serums

Day 2: Practical Training & Clinical Application

Live demonstration of professional skin needling treatments
Device handling, technique, and control
Designing and performing a skin needling treatment
Adjusting needle depth and technique based on skin condition and treatment area
Safe treatment protocols and clinical best practices
Post-treatment care, downtime expectations, and aftercare guidance
Supervised hands-on practical training
